Last year Lybby, a close friend of Diane Peoples’, went to visit her daughter at UNC in Asheville. Lybby saw Asheville ablaze with our Teal ribbons and shared this experience w/ Diane. Sadly, Lybby is no longer with us, but Diane, her husband, and friends Teal Salisbury in Lybby’s honor. We think Diane started a trend with the way she put the ribbons on the trees in Salisbury. Several other volunteers have done this throughout the country.
